Terms of Service

1. Customer Agreement
  • Basepoint Cleaning LLC provides professional residential cleaning services.
  • All cleanings are subject to our policies, including deposits, cancellations, and rescheduling fees.
  • Service appointments are fulfilled by cleaning professionals who are screened and verified through our onboarding process.
  • Our cleaning services do NOT include organizing, moving furniture, or deep stain removal.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service for unsafe or hazardous working conditions.
  • Cleaners are not expected to perform tasks that exceed the agreed scope of work.
  • Basepoint Cleaning LLC reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.
  • If you disagree with any part of these Terms of Service, please do not book a cleaning with our services.
  • By accepting a professional cleaning service appointment, the client agrees to these general terms and conditions. These, together with our confirmation and cleaning schedule, constitute the entire agreement.
2. Service Guarantee & Refund Policy
  • Free re-cleaning of missed areas (if reported within 48 hours).
  • No monetary refunds.
  • Guarantee limitations apply if:
  1. Extra service fees were declined.
  2. Permanent stains or pre-existing issues exist.
  3. The property was misrepresented during booking.
  4. Our work is hindered by contractors, pets, clutter, or utilities.
3. Appointment Scheduling & Arrival Policy
  • Estimated arrival window: Up to 2 hours (we’ll send updates if timing changes).
  • Lockout Policy: 50% of the service total or a $75 fee (whichever is less) if access is denied for 20+ minutes.
  • Access: Client must provide correct door codes or entry instructions in advance.
4. Cancellation, Deposits & Rescheduling Policy
  • One-time, deep, or move-out cleanings: 25%–50% deposit required.
  • Deposits: Non-refundable upon cancellation.
  • Recurring cleanings:
  • 72-hour cancellation → 25% fee.
  • 24-hour/same-day cancellation → 50% fee.
  • Rescheduling: Within 24–72 hours → 25%–50% fee.
  • Weather or utility issues may trigger fees or reschedules.
  • Canceling before completing promotional or recurring terms may result in a discount reversal.
5. Customer Responsibilities & Cleaning Limitations
  • Please provide water/electricity, pick up clutter, and move heavy furniture in advance.
  • We do NOT provide biohazard cleanup, climb ladders, clean hoarding, or handle high-value or unsafe items.
6. Client-Provided Supplies & Equipment
  • Liability Waiver: While we provide professional-grade supplies, if a client requests that the cleaning professional use the client’s own cleaning products, chemicals, or equipment (including vacuums), the client assumes all risks.
  • Basepoint Cleaning LLC and its contractors will not be held liable for any damages to surfaces, flooring, or property resulting from the use of client-provided supplies or malfunctioning client equipment.
7. Payment Terms & Fees
  • Payment is due at the start of service (before work begins) and is processed using the payment method on file.
  • Authorization: A 24-hour card authorization hold is placed before cleaning.
  • Accepted Methods: Major credit/debit cards.
  • Additional Fees:
  • NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) Fee: $30
  • Late Payment: 15% per month
8. Non-Solicitation & Referral Policy
  • Non-Circumvention: If Basepoint Cleaning LLC introduces you to a cleaning professional, you agree not to solicit for hire or contract directly with that professional outside of Basepoint Cleaning LLC for 12 months after the last service date, unless we provide written consent.
  • Breach of this provision requires payment of applicable remedies available under law.
9. Independent Contractor Notice

Cleaning professionals who fulfill service appointments are independent contractors and are not employees of Basepoint Cleaning LLC. Basepoint Cleaning LLC coordinates scheduling and customer support and does not control the day-to-day manner and means by which a cleaning professional performs the services.

 
10. Website Terms of Use
  • Using basepointcleaning.com constitutes agreement with our terms.
  • You may not copy, distribute, or misuse site content.
11. Legal & Policy Updates
  • Terms can be updated without notice.
  • Governed by Iowa law; disputes resolved in Scott County, IA courts.
12. Health & Safety
  • Notify us if illness is present in the home.
  • We reserve the right to cancel for unsafe environments.
13. Privacy Policy & Confidentiality
  • All client information is confidential.
  • We may take before/after photos for quality insurance and marketing unless you explicitly opt out.
14. Sales Tax Policy
  • Residential Exemption: Per Iowa Administrative Code, janitorial services performed in a private residence and paid for by the occupant are exempt from Iowa sales tax.
15. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration Policy
  • All disputes resolved via binding arbitration in Scott County, IA.
  • Class action lawsuits are waived.
  • Client must attempt direct resolution first (15-day window).
